This research describes the author’s experience in the design of the collaborative spaces of the Apple iOS Developer Academy (Naples). The intent is to explore the new frontiers of BIM using algorithmic tools to manage the formal and informative features of the project.
The spread of digital technologies, aimed at improving the effectiveness of the technological and environmental project proposals, has transformed the modus operandi of architects and designers who approach environmental impact assessment, especially about public space designs.
Procedure to make chairs positioning easy (and the scheme printing too).
main problem was preserving chairs orientation, to reach that condition I had to provide the exact position of the anchor points (4 pts for each chair – 200 chairs). At the end, by a very simple “hack”, I optimized the printing procedure splitting the draws printing layouts with ref. (plotter A0 roll – A0 max dimension fixed).
